The research aims to clarify the strategy of sustainable architecture systems as well as their principles and dimensions. In order to address the research issue and achieve the objectives of the research and to verify its hypothesis, a knowledge framework was first built, then a comprehensive theoretical framework for sustainable architecture systems. Sustainable architectural systems, then an exploratory study assessing the quality level, and finally reached a set of conclusions that provided for a correlation between the duality of "architecture systems and sustainability systems", and in terms of: "engineering, and functional"; Its philosophy lies in its simulation of natural systems, both formally and practically.
2020-01-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Tuqa Mahmood Hameed, Abdullah Saadoon Salman Almaamouri Abstraction the architectural heritage of contemporary local architecture 2020-02-11T08:28:15+00:00 Sura Kassim Ameen Ibrahim Jawad Al-yusif Ali Musa Hussein
Abstraction is used in architectural and interior design and is based on abstraction with formal values, taking into account the functional aspect of architecture. Architectural heritage represents the cultural value that directly affects successive generations, and embodies cultural values to reflect the social, economic and political aspect that contributes to the advancement of human civilization, and architectural heritage is the basis of architectural thought in societies that have unity. Cultural. He found that the concept of the philosophy of abstraction has multiple views, whether Western and local and dependent on the nature of cultural, social and environmental thought, and for this the aim of the research was to activate the role of the philosophy of abstraction in the formal formations of both the vocabulary of heritage architecture and contemporary architecture by architectural elements, Analysis of international, Arab and local architectural productions, to reach a conscious understanding of the philosophy and thought of abstraction in contemporary heritage architecture, and its spiritual values to reach the essence of things.

The practical study was the analysis of Western and Arab and local projects with heritage architectural values and a practical study compared to them to see which architectural outputs were able to generate heritage values stable from its past in abstract geometric forms reflecting different ideas
2020-01-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 Sura Kassim Ameen, Ibrahim Jawad Al-yusif, Ali Musa Hussein The Urban Synergy 2020-02-11T08:28:15+00:00 Noor Saeb Ahmed Khansaa Ghazi Rashid
What appears in most urban environments is poor spatial and functional cohesion, in addition to various factors overlap and mixed within urban projects .We will have to understand the various forms and relationships that help to re-establish cohesion into the urban fabric, Therefore, the research needed to delve deeper into contemporary concepts to deal with it. Contemporary urban projects usually seek to maintain the connection between individual elements and the process of creating cohesion of urban space through its constituent elements. At the same time reduce its negative impact on urban tissue and city life. This highlights the importance of urban synergy as a design strategy in contemporary urban projects to build physical and functional linkages, coordinate relationships and reduce distances between individual structures. The synergistic approach is the linkage point between the existing shape and the surrounding blocks to achieve a comprehensive and flexible entity. In this filed, the research problem was identified: Previous knowledge of urban synergy as a concept from the perspective of developmental characteristics to reach a sustainable urban system, which necessitated the wording formative mechanisms of urban synergy as a design strategy. The objective of the research is to reach a comprehensive theoretical framework that achieves the strategy of urban synergy. This required the construction of a theoretical framework consisting of three main concepts:(urban synergistic approaches, characteristics supporting of spatial synergies, Synergistic Formation Mechanisms). And then apply those concepts to two urban projects, and subtract the search results, and to reach the most important final conclusions on how to apply the strategy of synergistic formation in contemporary urban projects through considering the mediating position in overcoming urban transformation and hybridization and deal with the formative characters on several levels: relationships, places, details.
2020-01-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2020 noor saeb, Khansaa Ghazi Rashid Textile Strategies in Contemporary Architecture 2020-02-11T08:28:15+00:00 Safaa AL-Deen Hussein Al-Samarae Ban Sultan Janabi
The textile in architecture is an old phenomenon, as the mixing of architecture and textiles is not a modern development. The fusion of textiles and architecture, including processes, techniques and various materials, has a long and full history, but is largely neglected. In the past two decades, interest in the combination of architecture and textiles has been renewed with the ideas and ideas of architectural theorists, engineers, textile designers, materials scientists and artists. by investing technological technologies at The level of modern design and construction processes and advanced materials, has formed an important aspect of the critical and critical dialogue in applied and educational practice, In the 1990s, architecture found new ways to express itself by computer design, which allowed for the study of complex, flexible, dynamic and free forms with accuracy and precision. In its attempt to study the concept of textile in architecture, through the analysis of studies, there was a lack of knowledge, where the concept was not widely addressed and the study of strategies and inventory techniques. Which identified the research problem (lack of comprehension of previous studies of textile strategies and their use in contemporary architecture), The objective of the research was to construct a comprehensive theoretical framework that illustrates the strategies of textile and its use in contemporary architecture, This required the construction of a theoretical framework drawn from the literary, historical and architectural studies and the elaboration of the main vocabulary, which is included three vocabulary, the strategy of nature simulation, the strategy of emulating traditions and customs, the strategy of employing science and innovation, It has been applied to selected projects for practical study belonging to the third millennium (21st century) and carries the idea of textile strategies and techniques, The main hypothesis is that "the characteristics of contemporary architextile vary in order to achieve the aesthetic, performance and functional dimensions of the different strategies adopted in contemporary architecture." Then subtract and analyze the final findings and conclusions.
2019-12-19T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2019 Ban Sultan Janabi Urban Resilience and City Infrastructure 2020-02-11T08:28:15+00:00 Sanaa Sati Abbas Sura Kassim Ameen
This paper aims to study urban resilience as an adaptive system in a complex dynamic world along with its ability to comprehend disorder, change and reorganization to conserve identity. Urban resilience can be understood through the interrelationship between people and nature as a source-ecological system. The case study is represented by analyzing (Edlayd City in Australia) in depending on resilience advantages in which optimized by a renewable resource, zero carbon, equity in distributing energy, active environment, sustainable transportation and investing natural materials. Hence, these advantages have been applied on (Al-Karkh Haifa Street) in Baghdad in order to develop its infrastructure by employing renewable resources such as energy, sustainable transportation, refuge recycling, water system and submit suitable solutions for sewage water.
2019-11-28T18:55:07+00:00 Copyright (c) 2019 Sana’ Sati’ Abbas, Sura Kassim Ameen
