Strangeness in Contemporary Architecture as a strategy
Th.orgh the last four decades of the 20th Century, architecture, as a
language, was studied in various directions, which were concemed either with
meaning, or with expressive methods. Both directions aimed to enrich it with meaning
and significance; which are contradictory and harmonious. To accomplish continuity
between architecture and the receiver in the social order, design strategies utilized
other fields ol knowledge such as literature, linguistics or sociology... etc. Which
merged the two directions. From these, strangeness and differences were realized and
studied in this paper.
